Haikai is a game project in the first stages of development. Despite the name, it's far from poetic. In fact, it's pure technology and logic, but one can find aesthetic value in that.

The goal is to create a technilogically advanced, extensible, multi-platform game. We strive for generality and genuine reusability of the code. We believe that today's computers are powerful enough to allow a more abstract implementation of higher-level game functions without sacrificing significant graphical or aureal features, but we are prepared to invest time in specialized high-performance low-level routines where such optimization is necessary.

Currently, there are only two developers on the team:
estrato ([at] users[dot] sourceforge[dot] net)
malicious ([at] users[dot] sourceforge[dot] net)

In the future, code releases will be available from our SourceForge project page. We want to put down a robust framework before we release any files to the public.
